Replacement Model Generation

Once you have created your Replacement Model and selected Replacement Model Prioritization factors, the third step is to generate the replacement model. The replacement model will be generated based on the filters and prioritizing values you entered on Replacement Model and Replacement Model Prioritization.

Interface Parameters

In the Interface Parameters section of the frame, select the appropriate model name in the Model Name field. You can type in the name or double click in the field to select the model from the list of values (LOV).

For Update Category Summary and Update Category History enter Y (yes) or N (no) depending on whether or not you want to update the Category data. If this is a previously generated model, Category information may have changed since the last run. You will want to select Y in this case to ensure current data is used in the model.

The next parameter is the E-mail Notification, enter in your e-mail address or the e-mail address of the person who should receive the notification when the model generation is complete.

Current Execution Schedule

The Current Execution Schedule table shows all iterations of replacement model generations. Click on the Refresh button to update the schedule information in the table.

Schedule Details

If you want to setup a schedule for this model to run more than once, select the interval type from the drop down, Minutes, Hours, Days, Months and then enter a value in the Run Interval field. You can check the box to indicate you want to Exclude Weekends and Holidays. Then you can enter a First Execution Date/Time.

Otherwise, you can leave the drop down set to Once and then click the Schedule/Reschedule button to schedule the execution of the model.

Once the model generation has completed, an e-mail notification will be sent to the e-mail address specified in the Interface Parameters.

After the email notification is received and the model generation has completed successfully, navigate to the Replacement Model Candidates frame to complete the next step in the Replacement Model Process where you can view the list of units that are candidates for replacement.
