Driver Allocation Reasons are user-defined codes that identify why the vehicle allocation for a specific driver occurred. At least one code must exist before any history can be recorded. Examples of Allocation Reasons are 'Meeting', 'Sales Call', 'Company Time', 'Patrol', etc.
Create
To create a Driver Allocation Reason, click in the blank Code field and enter a new code. This field has a limit of ten characters. Enter a description for the code. This field has a limit of 20 characters.
For example - 'PATROL A' - Day Patrol or 'SALES' - Sales Call.
When finished entering the Driver Allocation Reason and description, click the Save icon at the top of the frame. The new reason will now be available for use.
Modify
You can only modify the descriptions of existing codes. To modify a description for an existing code, click in the Description field and type a new description over the old one. Click Save to update the record.
Disable
To disable a Driver Allocation Reason, check the Disabled flag in the row of the code you want to disable. Click the Save icon.
Delete
You can delete an existing code provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. If the Driver Allocation Reason is in use, you will not be able to delete it from the list.
To delete a code that is not in use, click in the row of the code you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete icon (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click the Save icon to delete the record from the system.
