Shift Copy

The Shift Copy screen allows you to easily copy the format of an existing shift and create a new shift code based on that format. This can be especially useful if you are creating multiple shifts at once and you want to maintain the same format.

To copy an existing shift, enter the shift code in the Number field or double click in the field to select the shift from the list of values (LOV). Next, enter a new shift code in the New Number field. This number must be unique and cannot already exist as a shift code. The Start Date will default in with the value from the shift you are copying. This value can be changed, but the new date must be on the same day of the week as the original shift started. For example if the previous shift started on a Monday, this shift must also start on a Monday, regardless of the date.

When finished, click the 'Save' button at the top of the screen to copy the shift. After saving, the system will redirect you to the Shift Maintenance screen where you can make edits to the Shift Description, Minutes to Subtract from Planned Absences, Start/End Times, and Pay Shift.
