Shop Planning Workshop View

The Shop Planning Workshop View exists to show users how much time there is remaining at a location for labour and all the equipment profiles. When the screen is accessed, the location will default to the current location.

Down the left hand side is a list of Schedule Shifts set up for the selected location (in Shop Planning Schedule) and underneath each shift are all of the Equipment Profiles set up at the location.

In the grid, each interception of the labour or equipment profile and the day will be split into two boxes. The first box displays the total amount of hours (blue if positive and red if zero) and the second box underneath shows the remaining hours (green if positive and red if zero or negative).

A user can look at this view to see how much labour and equipment profile resource is remaining and use that information to make informed decisions about how much and what sort of additional work can be accepted.

The arrows at the top right can be used to scroll onto the next set of days.

There is a week view which, once selected, presents the same information but larger in a week-by-week view. The view is always Monday-Sunday and days which have already passed will appear grey.

The user can also access a Day view, which can be launched by selecting Day or clicking on a day in the grid.

The Day view presents graphs relating to each Schedule Shift; with columns for each equipment profile and the labour, counting the total hours and remaining hours for each.

At the bottom of the screen is a query presenting information on the work scheduled on the selected day. The columns are:

• Record Type: This will either be Booking, Work Request or Work Order, depending on what the row pertains to.
• Record No: This will be either the Booking number, Work Request number or Work Order number. The user may click on number to launch the respective record in a new window.
• Customer Description: This is the description of the Customer associated with the Unit which the row pertains to, displays for all record types including work requests.
• Using Department Description: This is the description of the Using Department associated with the Unit which the row pertains to.
• Asset Number: This is the Asset Number of the Unit which the row pertains to.
• Unit No: This is the Unit Number which the row pertains to.
• Est Hours: This is the amount of hours which the row registers as demand. If the user hovers over this field, a tool tip will appear which shows a list of the jobs which form the row, and an amount of hours for each job.
• Schedule Shift: This is the Shift which the row is registering demand for.
• Record Date/Time: This is the Planning Date if the Row is a Work Request, the Booking Date/Time if the row is a Booking or the Planning Date if the row is a Work Order.
• Equipment Profile: This is the Equipment Profile associated with the Unit which the row pertains to.
• Booking Type: This is the Booking Type from the Booking which the row pertains to. If the row is a Work Order, a Booking Type from a Booking linked to that Work Order will display.
• Record Reference: This is the Work Request Reference, Booking Reference or Work Order Reference, depending on what the row pertains to.

The rows in this query are comprised of jobs, grouped by Record No (Work Request, Booking, Work Order), by Planning Date and by Schedule Shift.

This means that:

• When the row is Work Request, there will only be one job. The same Work Request No will not be on another row.
• When the row is a Booking, there may be more than one job; but there may not be multiple rows for the same booking as a Booking has one Booking Date and Shift.
• When the row is Work Order, there may be more than one job. Additionally, there may be more than one row for the same Work Order number, as jobs on a Work Order can be given different Planning Dates and Scheduled Shifts.
