Standard Job Technical Specification Estimates
This screen allows you to create and maintain standard labor and parts
for specific job code and tech spec combinations (Standard Job Tech Specs).
You can view existing standard jobs for a given tech spec as well as change
setting on those combinations.
Note: Any changes made on this
screen will update the Standard Job Tech Spec record.
Selection Criteria
To load information on the screen for a given Standard Job Tech Spec,
enter filtering information in the selection criteria section:
- Job Code - Enter or select
the job code from the List of Values by double clicking in the field.
This is a required field.
- Tech Spec - Enter or select
the tech spec from the List of Values by double clicking in the field.
You will have the option to select a list of All Tech Specs or a list
of Tech Specs for This Standard Job based on the entry in the Job
Code Field.
- Show Jobs Performed This Many
Times - Enter how many times the system 'knows' this job has
been performed based on the job's history.
- Over This Amount of Time
(Months) - Enter the number of months over which M5 should look at
the job's history.
- Calculate Labor Using (drop-down)
- Select 'Average' or 'Median' time for labor calculations.
When you are finished entering selection criteria, click the Retrieve
button to load the results on the Estimates and Parts i-frame below.
Estimates
This i-frame will load all job and tech spec combinations which match
the criteria in your selection filters. Any applicable values from the
Standard Job Tech Spec record will carry over and display here.
- Tech Spec - Display only,
based on selection criteria.
- Job Code - Display only,
based on selection criteria.
- Avg. Hours - Display only,
based on selection criteria.
- Plan Hours - You can enter
a value for the estimated plan hours here.
- Book Hours - You can enter
a value for the estimated book time here.
- Industry Standard Hours
- You can enter a value for the estimated industry standard time here.
- Crew Size - You can enter
an estimated crew size needed to perform the job, default is 1.
- Flag Codes - when checked:
- SS - The job can span shifts.
- CA - System will ask to change association when completing
jobs.
- CB - System will ask to change base units when completing jobs.
- AJ - System will add this job to all work orders.
- P? - If value is 'Y', this job has a part list (read-only,
based on data from the Parts tab on Standard Job Tech Spec screen).
- N? - When icon is blue, this job has notes (if gray, click
to enter).
- 3C? - When icon is yellow, this job has the 3 'C' notes - Complaint,
Cause, and Correction notes for use with warranty functionality
(if gray, click to enter).
Parts
To display information on this i-frame, click in the row of any record
that has a value of 'Y' in the P? column. Once clicked, the part list
data will display. Again, this data is pulled from the Parts tab of the
Standard Job Tech Spec screen for the given job code/tech spec combination.
- Part Number - Part Main
Catalog number, display only.
- Description - Associated
part description, display only.
- Qty. - Quantity of the
part needed for the job pulled from the Parts tab of the Standard
Job Tech Spec screen. You can change this value.
When finished, click Save to confirm your changes. Note:
Any changes made on this screen will apply to the corresponding values
on the Standard Job Tech Spec screen once confirmed by clicking the Save
button.
