The Ad Hoc Object Maintenance frame is used to create and maintain the list of data sources for Ad Hoc Reporting. The data sources are view of the M5 date, not the physical tables.
These Ad Hoc Objects can then by applied to Ad Hoc Groups to define which data sources the users can view and report on based on their role.
To add a new Ad Hoc Object, select the blank Ad Hoc Object field and enter the data source or view you want to use for reporting. This field has a limit of 60 characters.
Enter the Ad Hoc Domain, such as ASSETS or PARTS. This is a free form field and has a limit of 15 characters. Select the SAVE button when finished with the entry.
The new object will now be available for Ad Hoc Reporting and on the Ad Hoc Group Maintenance frame.
You can delete a data source that is not in use by selecting the row to make it active. Then select the DELETE button (Red X). The selected row will turn red. Select SAVE to delete the object.
