This frame allows you to create and maintain a list of Reject Reasons to be used in the Unit Request Process or Part Request Process.
For Unit Requests, the reject reason would be entered on the Unit Request or Unit Request Approve frame. For Part Requests, these reject reasons would be used on the Purchasing Requisition frame.
Note: If System Flag 5192 is set to ‘Y’, you will be required to enter one of these reason codes when rejecting a Unit Request.
Create
To create a new code, click in the blank Reason field and type in a new Reject Reason. This field has a limit of two characters. Next enter in a description for the code. This field has a limit of 30 characters.
As an example, you could type ‘E’ in for the reason and in the Description field type ‘Entered in Error’. Once completed, click the Save button at the top of the frame.
Modify
You can modify the description of existing codes. You will not be able to modify the Reason Code once it has been saved.
To edit a description, click in the Description field and type a new description over the old one. Click Save.
Disable
To disable a code, check the Disabled box in the row of the reject code you want to disable. Click Save. The code will no longer be available for use.
Delete
To delete a code, click in the row of the Reject Reason you want to delete to make it active.
Click the Delete Button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click Save.
The record will be removed from the list and will no longer be available for use in the system.
