The Product Issue Inventory Indirect frame allows you to issue fuel products from your inventory directly to a valid Indirect Account for fuel. Many organizations choose to make blanket issues to an Indirect Account instead of the units which actually receive the fuel. This simplifies the accounting by reducing the overall amount of transactions, but it also removes a level of control over the disbursement of the fuel.
The quantities issued here should only be from system inventory and not from an outside commercial fueling. See Product Issue Vendor Indirect for creating those transactions.
Enter a valid fuel location or double click in the field to select a Location from the list of values (LOV). If making entries for CNG (compressed natural gas), check the CNG Transactions flag to display columns for Temperature and Pressure.
Then, enter a valid Indirect Account. You must first check the 'Fuel Charges Allowed' flag for the account number on the Indirect Account Codes frame before you can use it on this frame. The Total Cost field will update as you enter product issues on the i-frame below.
The Issue Date will default to the current date. If you want to change the date, enter a new date or select a date from the calendar.
Then, enter or select a hose number. NOTE: you must first setup valid products for the fuel location via a combination of Product Setup Tanks and Product Setup Location.
After selecting a hose number, enter the quantity issued in the Quantity field. The unit cost will default in automatically. Enter an Employee ID in the Employee field or double click to select one from the LOV. Then, enter a valid State Code in the State field.
You can add up to three additional 'User Data' fields by changing the value of System Flag 2016. See the System Flags section below for more details.
Repeat these steps for any additional product issues to units and/or departments and when finished with the entries, click the Save button at the top of the frame.
