Zones

The Zones frame is a multi-tab frame that allows you to enter rules for a specific unit/charge setup as well as selecting/excluding units from the zone.

Zone Selection

• Zone
• Can be used to enter/select existing zones or to create new ones.
• To create a new zone, enter a number that does not exist and the system will prompt you to create a new one (supports up to 30 alphanumeric characters).
• Description
• Populates automatically when selecting an existing zone.
• You must enter a new value when creating a new zone, up to 150 alphanumeric characters.
• Department/Department Group
• Populates automatically when selecting an existing zone.
• For a new zone, valid values are any active M5 department or department group.
• Only required if no location or location group are entered.
• Location/Location Group
• Populates automatically when selecting an existing zone.
• For a new zone, valid values are any active M5 location or location group.
• Only required if no department or department group are entered.

• This flag setting will determine department/department group values for units.

• Hide Compliant Units
• Hides compliant units from the units tab.
• Add all non-compliant units
• Populates all non-compliant units on the charges tab.
• Checking this box populates all units with the current date as the charge date if no charge date exists.

Zones tab

• Sequence
• Set automatically as lines are added
• Can be changed using the Change Order field's drag and drop functionality.
• Change Order
• Click the blue dot to drag and drop lines to edit the sequence order.
• Department/Department Group
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Valid values are any active M5 department or department group.
• Only required if no location or location group are entered.
• Dept or Group?
• Defaults in based on selection in previous field.
• Location/Location Group
• Valid values are any active M5 location or location group.
• Only required if no department or department group are entered.
• Loc or Group?
• Defaults in based on selection in previous field.
• Asset Class
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Must be a valid M5 asset class, double-click to select from list of values (LoV).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Asset Category
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Must be a valid M5 asset category, double-click to select from list of values (LOV).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Emissions Rating
• Compliance characteristic, see Emissions Rating.
• Must be a valid M5 emissions rating, double-click to select from list of values (LOV).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Primary Fuel Type
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Drop-down with valid fuel types (fuel alt. fuel, electric fuel).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Secondary Fuel Type
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Drop-down with valid fuel types (fuel alt. fuel, electric fuel).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Hybrid
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Yes/No drop-down.
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Max Range
• Compliance characteristic.
• Must be a whole number between 0 and 9999.
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Battery-Only Range
• Compliance characteristic.
• Must be a whole number between 0 and 9999.
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• License Class
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Must be a valid M5 license class, double-click to select from list of values (LoV).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Vision Rating
• Compliance characteristic, see Vision Rating.
• Must be a valid M5 vision rating, double-click to select from list of values (LoV).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Direct Vision Permit
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Yes/No drop-down.
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Camera
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Yes/No drop-down.
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Compliant Year
• Numeric field meant to hold a 4-digit year value, ex. 2021.
• Per km (/km) fields
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Numeric values only, up to three decimal places allowed but not required.
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Zone Class

• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.

• Must be a valid M5 zone class code with assigned asset/category codes setup on the Zone Class Maintenance frame, double-click to select from list of values (LoV).
• User Class Codes 1-5
• Unit characteristic the system uses to determine what selected units to apply compliance evaluation to.
• Must be a valid M5 user class code, double-click to select from list of values (LoV).
• Not required, can be null or the word BLANK can be entered.
• Charge Code
• Value is required
• Must be a valid M5 zone charge code, double-click to select from list of values (LoV).
• Charge Description
• Defaults in based on selection in previous field.
• Charge Amount
• Currency field, allows up to two decimal places.

Units tab

Displays all non-compliant units per defined zone criteria.

Charges tab

Used to enter charges line by line to be applied to individual units. The Add All Non-Compliant Units check box can be used to populate all non-compliant units from the units tab. See above.
